An end to the WSFA Webcasts

Yesterday those of us that work with the WSFA webcasts found out that there is a strong possibly that the entire season will be canceled for reasons that will be made public only if WSFA feels they want them to be.

I just wanted to write this quick blog to say how much fun I have had over the past four years working with Ron Simpson and the WSFA crew. It is really disappointing that it has to come to an end for the time being because this job provided invaluable experience. It was a great project that allowed the people in the city of Montgomery and other out of city teams to watch their favorite high schools each and every week.

Not only that, but for us kids in college that have been lucky enough to receive this job, it provided countless hours of awesome experience in setting up and running cameras, running on screen graphics, announcing, field reporting and most importantly, learning how to put on a live sporting event.

With this being my last year a Troy, unless we get lucky enough to be able to do any big games this season, it looks as if I may have announced my last football game for WSFA as a college student.

The time was awesome and the experience was invaluable. Most of all it was so much fun and the WSFA webcasts had the best people working with it. Always a lot of laughs and always a good time.

Sorry and sad to see it go this season, but for the sake of future college students and high school football fans, I hope it returns sooner than later!

Until then, I will always have the memories...
